Our Gummies That Give program was implemented to give back to our community. Throughout the year, we partner with different organizations to help them raise funds for causes that support some of our most vulnerable populations in the USA.
This month, Albanese has partnered with Homes for our Troops (HFOT), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to building and donating specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans. HFOT has built 330 homes for our Veterans since their inception, with 76 more applications in the process. HFOT relies on individual and community-organized donations, and they need our help. More About Homes for our Troops HFOT is a top-rated charity that rebuild our Veterans lives. Through their commitment to stay with Veterans following the delivery of their home, they ensure long-term homeowner success. Homes are built where the Veteran chooses and HFOT has developed a network of additional resources to assist with their individual needs.
Since their inception in 2004, nearly 90 cents of every dollar spent at HFOT has gone directly to the Veterans they serve. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Through public funding, HFOT builds and donates new homes that are specially made for each Veteran’s specific needs—at zero cost to them. In addition, HFOT provides a pro-bono financial planner for three years following to assist in financial planning and homeownership education, as well as peer support from other Veterans and their spouses that are in the HFOT program. Empowered by their new homes and the freedom they provide, these Veterans can now focus on their recovery and returning to their life’s work of serving others.
